Project Manager - Union Projects
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Union Project Manager for HeavyLift and transport projects in the US Working at Rosharon, TX Travel: 70% Responsible for managing all aspects of a project by means of people- contract- risk management, project preparation, execution and project controlling in line with applicable internal standards, procedures, systems and local legislation, in order to ensure the project is executed and the deliverables are met in line with the agreed contract requirements. As the Project Manager, we will look to you to deliver each project safely and successfully. The potential is vast; the projects will be challenging, exciting, unique. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Overseeing the critical planning, communications, decisions, management and actions connected to the project. Analyzing project contracts and being aware of critical risk from project kick-off to close out. Identify and manage contract scope changes both internally and with customers and monitor all project related financial processes. Effective engagement with all internal and external stakeholders. Manage, motivate, and support both operational field and office employees. Prepare the project execution plan, initiating both internal and external processes by setting up project organization in line with internal standards. Guarantee timely and efficient service of the solutions in line with the contract agreement and working budget. Ensure operations execution comply with SHE-Q standards and procedures, and lead by example concerning safety awareness. WHAT YOU’LL NEED 5+ years of relevant work experience with union projects, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, petrochemical, offshore, ports, mining, nuclear Familiarity with Union Labor Agreements (CBAs) Experience in project preparation, quality, project structures, planning, risk management, contracts, costs & finance, project execution, leadership, teamwork & communication, conflicts & negotiations English fluency, verbal and written Familiarity with operational function and capacity of heavylift equipment including cranes (600t to 1200t), SPMTs (Self Propelled Modular Transporters), hydraulic gantries and barging (ballasting operations) for lifting and transportation operations Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge Basic understanding of finance Experience in Contract Management WHAT YOU’LL GET We’ve been the leader in engineered heavy lifting and transportation for decades.
