Our Jacksonville Ship Repair Division is seeking to hire a Project Manager who willoversees and manage the operational aspects of project(s) within the Waterfront Operations Department.
Serves as a liaison between Waterfront Operations and project teams, and line management and is responsible for reviewing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules and preparing status reports. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions include:
+ Responsible for the facilities engineering design and construction of new facilities, expansions, and alterations to existing facilities.
+ Supports, plans, and organizes activities in support of department, quality, and company objectives including maintaining equipment reliability metrics.
+ Assists the Waterfront Operations Manager to plan, design and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
+ Promotes company-wide Operational Excellence (OpEx) improvement efforts.
+ Ensures all engineering projects and maintenance activities adhere to proper safety standards, OSHA regulations, ADA compliance, and environmental goals.
+ Supervise technical requirements of assigned projects including monitoring and identifying deviations in budgets, schedules, and performance.
+ Develops and implements metrics to measure adoption of asset health strategies. Participates in standard cadence of health review meetings with department and site leadership.
+ Responsibilities for Work of Others - May act as a first level supervisor with full supervisory authority for both exempt and non-exempt employees. Executes required HR activities for assigned direct reports while adhering to company policy, procedures, and guidance.
+ Receives general direction and independently determines and develops approach.
+ Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
+ Schedules and monitors subcontractors as needed.
+ Provide interdepartmental coordination of company operations.
+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Typically requires a High School Diploma, with ten (10 ) years of related experience in a heavy industrial environment, or the overall equivalent.
+ Possess a significant amount of operations and facility management experience as well as managing skilled craft employees.
+ Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
+ Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-related software platforms.
+ Experience managing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and implementing Project Management methodologies.
+ Ability to analyze Facilities problems and implement sustainable solutions.
+ Highly effective communicator, both verbal and written.
+ Ability to translate information and data into meaningful presentations.
+ Proven interpersonal skills. An active team participant able to collaborate with a diverse group, cross-functionally, and with internal and external customers.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification System "DBIDS" access card.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience in ship repair, modernization and overhaul on the U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard's most complex surface ship platforms.
+ Project management experience desired.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
