**About the Role**

In this role, you'll play a key part in upholding these values across the EMEA region. Depending on your location and language skills, your focus will be on Central and Eastern Europe (including Poland, Hungary, Croatia, and other countries). You'll collaborate closely with Legal, Public Policy, Operations, and General Managers to implement and maintain a robust ethics and compliance program in your designated region.
**What You'll Do**
1. Collaborate with Uber's EMEA E&C team to implement and maintain a robust compliance program, including providing clear guidance, policies and procedures to regional teams.
2. Conduct legal research and regulatory monitoring, establishing a monitoring system for new regulations and changes to existing regulations relevant to E&C (CSRD, Whistleblowing Directive, SCDDD, etc) in the EMEA market.
3. Provide practical and effective risk based compliance guidance on topics such as anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, business courtesies, and competitive intelligence.
4. Partner with regional and global compliance resources to assess and address ethical and compliance risks, collaborating with Legal colleagues.
5. Support Global Operations Compliance team in closing and adressing regulatory compliance identified gaps and steering the closure of the remediations.
6. Implement high-impact, awareness campaigns that resonate with Uber's diverse EMEA workforce in the region, including driving our EthicAlly program in the relevant markets..
7. Deliver in-person training tailored to local contexts, in partnership with the EMEA E&C team. Track the progress of internal clients' training, encompassing both e-learning and live sessions.
**What You'll Need**
1. Minimum 2-year of experience in a ethics and compliance-related role within the European region;
2. Professional proficiency in English and advanced knowledge of at least one additional Central European language (Polish prefered);
3. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or Business Administration (with a focus on legal studies).
**Preferred Qualifications**
1. Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, such as FMCG, Retail, or Tech industries.
2. Familiarity with the gig economy or platform business models.
3. Experience working across diverse cultures and regulatory environments within Europe.
