MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Project Monitor II team member to support the Department of Energy (DOE) State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP). The Project Monitor II position is located at the Department of Energy Forrestal Building, Washington, DC. This full-time position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Functions:
Provide engineering, technical, and operational leadership support for active projects. Perform advanced technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed and recommend refined project requirements. Coordinate with applicable stakeholders and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analysis during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences or related discipline that provides the functional skills to perform the functions and responsibilities described in the position description is required. Four (4) years of relevant education/experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree to meet the minimum education requirements. Six (6) years of relevant Federal Government experience (preferably DOE) (ten years if substituting the Bachelor’s degree requirement with four years of relevant education/experience) is required. Experience with policies, functional requirements, regulatory compliance support, and capabilities related to briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, program evaluation support, document preparation support, and meeting support. The ability to obtain/maintain a DOE L or Q clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current and active DOE Q Clearance. Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences or related discipline. This may substitute two (2) years of experience in fulfillment of the minimum experience requirement.

Location: This is a full-time position in Washington, DC 20585, USA
Telework options are available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, based on the level of in-person meetings and office needs.
SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
