About the Project

The Systems Strengthening for Effective Coverage of New Vaccines in the Pacific Project (SSECNVPP) (“project”) supports the Ministries of Health and Finance in Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu to introduce three new vaccines into their routine immunization schedules: human papilloma virus (HPV), rotavirus (RV), and pneumococcal conjugate (PCV). The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) through grants to Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu and grants and a loan to Vanuatu. In 2021, the Project was expanded with additional financing to support COVID-19 response. 

Position Summary:

The Project Officer is responsible for supporting all administrative aspects of implementation of the project. The position will work closely with the IPM national and international staff and key Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance counterparts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Provide support to project activities in administration, logistics, reporting and compliance. This may include: Support team and project meetings, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes Support finance and procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, payments, banking Support the collation of project reports Support travel arrangements (domestic and international) for project team members Logistical support related to the implementation of vaccination across Samoa and support for public education activities such as launches, press briefing e Other project activities as requested by MOH, MOF or IPM.
