Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a passionate, results-oriented Project Officer to join our team. We are implementing a three-year project, "Uniting Against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC)," to protect children from online harm in Manila, Dasmarinas, Cavite, and Llorente, Eastern Samar.
About the Role:
As a Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in:
Empowering communities: Mobilize communities to identify and address the challenges of online child sexual exploitation (OSAEC). Building community capacity: Facilitate training and awareness-raising activities on online safety and child protection for children, youth, parents, teachers, and community leaders. Strengthening child protection systems: Collaborate with local government units, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to improve child protection systems and mechanisms. Advocating for change: Advocate for policy and legislative changes to create a safer online environment for children.
What You Bring:
A passion for child protection: You are deeply committed to protecting children from all forms of abuse and exploitation. Community development expertise: You have at least 3 years of experience in community development, with a strong focus on child protection and community-based approaches. Strong interpersonal and communication skills: You are an excellent communicator and can effectively build relationships with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to gender equality: You are committed to gender equality and inclusive development. A strong understanding of child protection issues: You have a solid understanding of child protection principles, including child rights, child protection systems, and child sexual exploitation.
