**Position Overview**
As a Project Planner, you’ll play a key role in planning and scheduling activities on Nuclear and Heavy Industrial Projects. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly impact the scheduling outcome over a broad range of projects in various stages of development and progress. By analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining the project’s progress, you’ll prepare and analyze reports, develop alternative solutions, and drive successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and managing large heavy industrial projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Location**
**The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON** . The successful candidate will be **local to Darlington, Oshawa** or surrounding areas, or **willing to relocate** .

**Qualifications**
+ Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
+ Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
+ Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
+ Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
+ Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
+ Utilize project management software and tools to track project performance and progress.
+ Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
**Responsibilities**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning within the heavy industrial sector.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working on site in a project coordination role or higher within the heavy industrial sector.
+ Nuclear experience a strong asset.
+ Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) strongly preferred.
+ Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\#LI-GH
