Job Title: Solution Architect – Principal Consultant
Purpose & Objective:
The Solution Architect is essential to translate customer expectations into a sellable and a deliverable compelling service proposal based on SAP Services Portfolio and in close coordination with Subject Matter Experts, Delivery, Services Sales and Software Sales
Detailed role description:
Facilitate collaborative architecture & solution discussions with our customer’s IT and business executives to deliver the Intelligent Enterprise
•Develop detailed scope, effort estimates and plan for effective deployment , adoption and consumption of SAP solutions.
•Act as overall SAP solution captain, , orchestrate with other SMEs & delivery units to build an end-to-end compelling service proposal
•Lead in the development of the overall solution coping process as well as individual work plans
•Identify, extract, share and create knowledge assets SAP Solutions solutioning engagements
•Strong assertiveness and communication skills with the ability to lead customer scoping workshops & communicate at an executive level
•Excellent interpersonal skills such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
•Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and Solution information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for business and non-business audience.
•Ability to estimate the financial & business impact of various solution architecture alternatives
Expectations & Tasks:
•Orchestration of the solution response for assigned opportunities across all required SAP Line of Services.
•Identification and engagement of Subject Matter Experts required to support the overall solution development.
•Align and engage all stakeholders required for Deal Execution - including Delivery, Risk, Bid Management, License and Commercial Finance.
•Consolidation of solution requirements and inputs from multiple SME’s into a single solution response, including completion of solutioning details in a Deal Sheet and Scope Document.
•Contribute to proposal response as required.
•Advocate and implement SAP’s solution and delivery strategies where possible into solutioned opportunities for which they are the orchestrator or lead.
•Handover of the solutioned deal to the SAP Delivery Team.
•Advise the account team on the best solution approach to achieve customer requirements, budget target, and minimize delivery risk
•Able to structure response to complex customer RFP’s
•Work with License team in joint bid response to customer RPI / RFP
•Participate and provide inputs during deal qualification
Experience & Qualifications:
•As SAP generalist with one strong domain experience either functional or technical
•Minimum of 10+ years SAP consulting experience in the S4HANA Rise with SAP and BTP background domain and at least 4 full cycle implementations.
•Senior experience, proven leadership skills in leading teams to an outcome in discussions and negotiations
•Ability to conduct complex and interactive solutioning during workshops
•Understanding of complex “as is” landscapes and “to be” solutions with priority to cloud solutions
•Experience with services pre-sales activities
•Understanding how to pitch compellingly solution proposal and proven understanding of customer strategy and pain points
•Understanding of project estimation methodologies and delivery methods
