Project & Process Specialist (Contract: 14 Months)

Opportunity 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a Project & Process Specialist (Contract: 14 Months) to join our growing team! As part of the Franchise Operations department, you will be responsible for leading projects on time and with a focus on achieving project results supporting our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise system across Canada, USA, and Australia.

You are passionate about leading projects with clarity and accountability, working with strong teams of stakeholders, and getting stuff done! We’ve taken the “ordinary” world of home services and made it memorable by bringing exceptional customer service into the mix. With our three uniquely branded home services franchises - 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, WOW 1 DAY PAINTING and Shack Shine - we make the ordinary businesses of junk removal, painting and house detailing exceptional by being leaders in customer experience and innovation. It’s all in our name: O2E = Ordinary 2 Exceptional! 

Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.

A Day In The Life

Lead 1-800-GOT-JUNK? projects within the Operations Team on time and on budget  Engage Stakeholders to kick off new and exciting initiatives Develop and maintain project documentation, follow up, and keep Stakeholders informed by means of regular status updates   Lead and facilitate team meetings to maintain momentum and accountability  Constant review of Project Schedules and personal calendar management - always planning ahead!  Manage expectations of stakeholders through project success trends and validate progress in assigned areas through follow-up and coaching Support the Franchise Operations team through best practice documentation, playbooks, handbooks, etc. Provide project consulting services to support other team members’ departmental objectives Collaborate with Stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and support business change Determine where operational processes and best practices could be improved  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, maintain, and improve processes  Participate in business improvement and ad hoc projects as required

What You Bring To The Table :

Excellent communication, both written and oral; experience in business writing Outstanding organizational and planning abilities: The ability to implement and manage multiple, concurrent projects, unique and complex business processes, varying resources, timelines and deliverables Previous Project Management experience or an understanding of Project Management principles Confidence speaking in front of a group of people, including facilitating meetings with leaders in the business  Ability to hold people accountable to tasks by keeping them on track and on target Ability to collaborate, excite, and gain buy-in across multiple stakeholders to lead change within the business Competent in Google Suite and Zoom   Strength in development of process frameworks Previous Experience in Franchise Business is an asset Previous Change Management experience  Previous process development experience 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary $55,000 - $70,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity). The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Dental.
