We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager who is strategic, adaptable and collaborative to join our Procurement Department, based in our UCB campus located in Braine-l'alleud, Belgium
About the role
You will play a critical role in the execution of Large CAPEX projects by endorsing the full end- to- end sourcing and contract management accountability.
You will also be responsible for handling end-to-end sourcing operations and contract management in strict alignment with all UCB applicable processes, procedures and code of conduct, strategies as defined by Investment Category Managers.
Who you’ll work with
You will collaborate mainly with business partners from Patient Supply, Global Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal and Sustainability Corp. Affairs & Risk in order to deliver Large CAPEX projects of which the spend may vary between 50.000.000€ and 400.000.000€. The position reports into the Investment Category Lead.
What you’ll do
Develop and implement end-to-end best-in-class Large CAPEX project procurement strategy.Create, plan, lead, and conduct sourcing activities in accordance with UCB source to contract policy and project procurement strategy.Leverage commercial opportunities, enhance UCB’s competitive position, maintain proper oversight, promote sustainability, support risks mitigation with a high service quality through the project procurement strategy.Provide insights into market dynamics, conduct benchmarking, assess the competitive landscape, and gather market intelligence to identify potential new partners.Manage suppliers contractual and commercial relationship to meet main project drivers and secure project quality, budget and schedule.Ensure risk management strategies are embedded into contracts.Support implementation and lifecycle management of Master agreements with key suppliers and external partners.Consider sustainability criteria to ensure that the products and services purchased have the lowest environmental (during their entire life cycle) and most positive social (child labor provision, occupational health and safety, regulatory compliance) impact.Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed by Investment Category Lead and business partners.
