Project Procurement Professional - Siemens Mobility

Project Procurement Management Professional

The Project Procurement Professional is responsible for leading and executing procurement strategies within projects and bids. This role ensures the alignment of procurement activities with project objectives, manages supplier relationships, and drives cost optimization while mitigating risks. The PPMP oversees the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and compliance with internal processes. Additionally, the PPMP collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of procurement plans and adherence to quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Integrates Procurement in the project management process (PM@Siemens) and organizes, controls and monitors all Procurement activities in a project.


Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams (PM, CPM, technical teams, etc.) to understand project requirements and ensure alignment between procurement processes and project goals.Lead procurement strategies for projects and ensure their successful implementation.Provide reliable material cost data to support project cost calculations.Develop and monitor the Project Procurement Plan.Conduct market analysis, evaluate suppliers, and select them based on performance, cost, and quality criteria.Coordinate contractual and price negotiations in collaboration with all stakeholders (PM, CPM, TPM, Legal, QM).Create and maintain procurement documentation, ensuring transparency and adherence to internal procedures.Ensure suppliers meet agreed-upon deadlines, quality standards, and specifications.

Work Experience Requirements

Educational background in Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or related fields with a focus on category management and/or project procurement.Proven experience in procurement strategy development and execution within complex projects.Expertise in contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.Project Management experience is an advantage.Proven ability to implement and monitor Procurement Strategy while reporting progress, risks, and opportunities.Proficiency in Procurement tools such as TCO, Nego Planner, and Risk & Opportunity assessment.Capability to manage Procurement tools and processes effectively.
