Project/Program Manager V
Description Job Title: Project/Program Manager V Location: Remote Employment Type: 1 year contract with potential extension! About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project/Program Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for the coordination and completion of designated projects and/or programs from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience leading complex projects to successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: + Lead all aspects of project/program management, including planning, execution, and delivery. + Set project deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure timelines are achieved. + Prepare detailed reports for upper management on project/program statuses and progress. + Act as a liaison and advisor in the context of design contracts, including: + Reviewing and addressing change orders, contractor requests, and payment applications. + Ensuring any necessary decisions or approvals required take place within the defined seven-working-day timeframe to avoid schedule delays. Enforce design contract obligations to control project costs: + Work to minimize expenses while maintaining project quality. + Proactively seek cost-efficient solutions. Oversee health and safety compliance for the project: + Maintain and enforce health and safety standards. + Immediately report safety incidents or near-misses while providing ongoing updates regarding health and safety matters. Manage project communications and document processing: + Review and convey official project communications (applications, notices, instructions) between stakeholders. + Issue necessary statements to the project team, as authorized. Identify opportunities for efficiency within the project timeline: + Collaborate with the project team to explore schedule accelerations, such as overtime work or sequence adjustments. + Address design delays caused by incomplete or missing information to mitigate interruptions. Participate in key project meetings and site visits: + Attend weekly project and construction meetings (virtual or in-person) to address operational issues and suggest procedural improvements. + Collaboratively resolve project challenges with other stakeholders during ad hoc meetings. Engage regularly in vendor-led and design team calls: + Represent project interests during AWS Design Team meetings. + Work alongside AWS discipline leads and the prime consultant to address and resolve issues promptly. Requirements Qualifications and Skills: + Bachelor’s degree in field/related area, e.g., Project Management, Business, Engineering. + Minimum of 7 years of experience in project/program management or a related field. + Strong familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. + Proven ability to plan and accomplish goals independently while directing the work of others. + Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to creatively manage complex tasks. + Experience navigating cross-functional teams and interactions with senior stakeholders. + A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in decision-making.
