We are looking for a Project Purchaser and Site Support to join Wärtsilä Brazil, on a commissioning project run by Wärtsilä SAM Electronics GmbH - one of the world's leading electrical system integrators in shipbuilding in Germany. 
This professional will be responsible for the operational purchasing of local installation material that is needed for the building site office work preparation (controlling, planning, verification). 
This position is based in Itajaí/SC and will be reporting to the General Manager of Supply Management MES and the Project Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

 

Operational Purchasing

Checking and processing of purchase requisitions or bill of materials Process purchase orders as well as related correspondence and communication Monitor deliveries proactively to avoid delays including supplier notifications and reminders Invoice handling on own Purchase Orders Support or run supplier price negotiations in collaboration with project purchase Cooperation with project purchase and Site Team Management of Assets on site and rental assets

 

Site office Work preparation

Material controlling (Verification of technical documents on plausibility and availability) Installation management and planning (Coordination of internal installation orders and material on-site about priorities and in cooperation with the site manager) Technical clarification of material claims Support in Non-Conformity management On-Site Management of Delivery Notes from abroad

 

Main Requirements: 

Technical Course or Engineering degree in Logistics, Production, Mechanical, Marine or Electrical     Experience with operational purchasing Experience in material planning is an advantage Technical background in electrical or construction site is a plus Good skills in Microsoft Office and ERP Knowledge of SAP is a plus Advanced English (written and spoken)
