Job Description:

Responsible for planning and scheduling various project workloads. Gathers and analyzes information to prepare status reports. Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects. Requires a bachelor's degree and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.

 

Seeking an experienced, self motivated, Master Project Scheduler to take a key position in the Program Management Office supporting multi-million dollar commercial program projects. Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding and proven experience of scheduling techniques and best practices in order to develop, maintain, and control MS project schedules. In addition, candidates should also have demonstrated ability to make program recommendations based on performing advanced analysis. Finally, the candidate should have proven experience in leading teams to establish EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) and associated metrics.

Candidates should be advanced/expert users of MS Project (the tool), other add-on tools to perform schedule quality checks, and Monte Carlo simulation on key milestones. Furthermore, the candidate should have demonstrated ability of critical path analysis, how to manage the schedule to mitigate risk, recover schedule delays, and add schedule robustness based on sound business judgment.

The Master Program Scheduler should have demonstrated leadership skills with project teams to establish and maintain master schedule baselines (PMB) including “what-if” scenarios to simulate multiple paths to achieve program goals and objectives. Candidate should possess effective communication skills in order to lead project management teams in schedule creation, schedule monitoring, and analysis; must possess the ability to easily recognize schedule risks, pitfalls, and weaknesses at a glance and through the use of add-on tools.

Basic Qualifications:
• Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Business Administration) or equivalent, and at least 10 years of related (project support or management) experience
• Expert knowledge and understanding of MS Project (MS Project Server a plus)
• Expert knowledge in EVMS
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite of Programs, specifically Powerpoint and Excel
• PMP certification required
• SAP Project Systems experience a plus
