Job Description
We are seeking a Project Scheduler to coordinate team activities and support Project Managers (PMs) with minimal supervision. The role involves scheduling and commodity tracking for major projects, and developing, analyzing, and maintaining complex work schedules using Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a good communicator, and team-focused, with a minimum of three years of current Primavera P6 experience. This position requires a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the office and Mondays and Fridays remote. Only local candidates to Columbus, OH or New Albany and surrounding areas will be considered.
ResponsibilitiesDefine activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop the plan and milestones representing key decisions and deliverables.Develop fully integrated system schedules, including resource loading and leveling for complex and intermediate scope work execution teams, utilizing critical path methodology.Organize and lead schedule review meetings with all stakeholders, ensuring clear minutes and action items.Engage team and stakeholders to create schedules, provide schedule analysis updates, and communicate schedule status to project stakeholders.Administer project management organizational standards and assist in managing projects to those standards.Assign security profiles and roles for new users in collaboration with the Administrator.Update progress, acquire information, baseline schedules, maintain schedules, develop commodity curves, track metrics, and support project/outage teams on a routine basis.Provide periodic summary level status reports and prepare and analyze metrics reports or KPIs.Perform and coordinate schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI, and maintain associated data systems and processes.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of current Primavera P6 experience.Qualified Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience or an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience.Experience in Transmission Substation Construction or Engineering preferred.Utility-specific operations knowledge with a good understanding of work processes and procedures.Experience in design operations, planning, project management, cost tracking, analysis, forecasting, and project budgets.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly in developing complex spreadsheets.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Project Management.Strong organizational and planning skills with an aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and under general supervision.Understanding and support of company policies, values, principles, and structure.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with possible overtime as needed. The role follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the office, and Mondays and Fridays working remotely. Local candidates only to Columbus, OH, or New Albany and surrounding areas.
