Project Scientist/Geologist

**KOMAN Government Solutions** has an immediate need for a seasoned **Project Geologist/Scientist** to support our operations. Assignments will typically be related to one or more of the following: project plan preparation and permitting; site investigation, environmental monitoring and multimedia sampling; remedial action implementation; and maintenance activities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Project Planning and Execution**
+ Lead and support project plan preparation.
+ Identify and prepare permit applications.
+ Assist with identifying and procuring the necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
**Field Investigation**
+ Lead, coordinate, and/or support field investigations/sampling events.
+ Collect environmental samples and field measurements.
+ Ensure project plans and associated safety and quality control requirements are implemented.
+ Oversee subcontractors.
+ Maintain field forms and other documentation.
+ Summarize data and assist with technical report preparation.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, geology, or related science.
+ 2-8 years of relevant work experience.
+ Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
+ Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) or ability to obtain before commencing employment.
+ Ability and willingness to undertake frequent overnight travel to project sites (estimated 50% on average).
+ Ability to work overtime when required.
