Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is searching for a Project Scientist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

We are seeking creative and energetic Project Scientist that will be responsible for determining priorities for project area based on overall organizational goals. The incumbent will direct the work of project members to ensure goals are achieved. Frequently presents research findings to current or potential sponsors and at major national or international conferences.

Responsibilities:

Acts as team leader, providing project management direction.

Contributor in developing and documenting research findings and collaborator in writing scientific papers.

Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports and participating in meetings/committees.

Lead research efforts within main goals of project, and help coordinate interactions with other team members and universities.

Propose and lead independent research goals within scope of projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Master's Degree

10-15 years of research experience
