Position Overview International’s Procurement Team is urgently seeking a Project Sourcing Manager. Key Duties: Collaboration: Work closely with the Category Management Team (CMT) and engineering on new product development programs. Sourcing Decisions: Develop and execute sourcing decisions that align with International’s business objectives and the CMT strategy. Negotiation: Act as a strong negotiator, focusing on strategic and complex sourcing projects, often involving supplier-owned Intellectual Property and requiring long lead times and early source selection. Sourcing Scope: Manage sourcing for Body Components, Hose & Tube, and Tires. This role is critical in ensuring that sourcing decisions support the overall business strategy and meet the needs of new product development programs. Responsibilities Collaboration with Engineering: Partner with advanced engineering teams to develop cost estimates and strategic sourcing plans for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with category strategy, program timing, and objectives. Sourcing Package Preparation: Prepare strategic sourcing packages and manage the quotation process, including developing a qualified bidders list, gathering technical and commercial requirements, and issuing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. Quote Analysis: Analyze quotes and assemble supplier proposal assessments with the Category Management Team (CMT), considering technical, quality, manufacturability, and financial health aspects. Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between external suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries or issues. Negotiation Strategy: Develop and lead negotiation strategies, covering all financial aspects (cost, piece price, tooling, development costs, packaging, etc.) and commercial terms to achieve the best total cost of ownership (TCO). Category Alignment: Lead the alignment of categories to a recommended source. Sourcing Nomination: Prepare and present sourcing nomination materials and secure approvals through the internal governance process. Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate and execute commercial and legal agreements, such as Nomination Letters, Comprehensive Supply Agreements, and Development Agreements. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience OR Master’s degree At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience OR At least 7 years of purchasing/procurement experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Industry Experience: Proven procurement experience with cabin components in the automotive or commercial vehicle industries. Sourcing and Negotiation: Skilled in sourcing components, identifying competitive options, and leading negotiations. Contract Management: Proficient in reading, understanding, and executing commercial agreements and contracts. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and product specifications, with a strong technical knowledge and interest. Leadership: Capable of leading cross-functional teams effectively. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills. Communication: Effective communicator at all organizational levels and across functions. Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
