Project Specialist

The Project Specialist is responsible for supporting the Finance Shared Services department by delivering high quality project and administrative support. A successful candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and demonstrate a commitment to and track record of delivering uncompromised client service and a passion for supporting a culture of operational excellence. The Project Specialist will manage small projects and/or work efforts, and will be responsible for producing, organizing, and maintaining various project related documentation for the department.

Responsibilities:

Assist with work plans and coordinate small to medium sized projects with multiple stakeholders from initiation through to completion
Create and maintain customary project documentation and provide project status updates to stakeholders
Support the Finance Shared Services leadership team with a variety of project and administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, composing memos, creating presentations and publishing minutes
Maintain Finance Shared Services files, project data, portfolio data and the department intranet presence using SharePoint and MS Teams
Execute on day-to-day deliverables
Collaborate with others in Finances Shared Services to align on methodologies, and to standardize tools and templates

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, emphasis in accounting, finance, or a business-related field preferred
Minimum 1 year of administrative and project coordination experience, preferably in a Finance environment
Organizational and project management skills with ability to own and drive project schedules
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with commitment to producing accurate work in a timely manner
Ability to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Proven commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Ability to travel as needed; approximately 5%
May require some overtime hours
