Position Overview

A Project Specialist is an administrative professional who supports project managers by coordinating tasks, monitoring project schedules, maintaining documentation, and communicating with stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications, often with a specific area of expertise within a project domain; their key responsibilities include developing project plans, tracking progress, managing resources, and reporting project status to key decision-makers.

Responsibilities Project planning: Assisting in developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget management. Task coordination: Assigning tasks to team members, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Stakeholder communication: Maintaining open communication with clients, internal teams, and vendors, providing regular project updates. Risk management: Identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring their impact. Documentation management: Maintaining project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and change orders. Budget tracking: Monitoring project expenditures against the budget, identifying cost variances, and proposing corrective actions. Reporting and analysis: Preparing project status reports, analyzing data, and presenting key findings to stakeholders. Vendor management: Identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with external vendors. Quality control: Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements.  Required Experience/Qualifications Strong project management skills, including knowledge of project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) Analytical skills to identify trends and interpret data Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage complex projects Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant industry knowledge depending on the project domain (e.g., marketing, engineering, healthcare)  Special Requirements/Security Clearance Secret clearance Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
