Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager or Maintenance Manager II, responsible for oversight of projects with the scope of the Plant Operations and Maintenance Department. These projects, at the discretion of the Director, POM, may also involve properties owned, leased or bequeathed to the West Tennessee Healthcare System and its affiliates. Coordinates and assists with activities with external contractors to ensure timely completion of renovation and painting projects. Tasks for this position include but not limited to painting, wall repair, flooring repairs etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assists with oversight of projects within the scope of the Facilities department. Maintains records and   progress notes on projects.  Reports to Maintenance Manager II on any issues or updates on projects.

Assists with special projects on all WTH Dyersburg campus facilities.

Interfaces with Facility Director and Plant Operations personnel on renovation projects/requests.

Ensures compliance with all life safety codes and maintains egress routes during projects.

Contribute to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and hospital, perform related responsibilities as required or directed and greet guest in accordance with our Guest Excellence principles.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations, and follow technical procedures as normally acquired through associate degree graduation or equivalent years of experience.

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

N/A

EXPERIENCE:

Ability to analyze, install, maintain and coordinate building infrastructure and systems normally acquired through 5 years of maintenance or construction related experience. Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures, facility layout, equipment, and maintenance operations as acquired through 6 weeks of on hands orientation and training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to work well on own with minimal to no supervision. Able to make sound, correct, cost effective decisions.
