UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute is hiring a Project Specialist to help with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Division of Adult Cardiology. This position involves quarterly overnight travel within the continental U.S., typically lasting 3-5 days and often including weekends. Flexibility in schedule is required, with early mornings (6:00am) and late evenings (9:00pm) monthly. Workdays may exceed 8.5 hours, especially during busy Spring and Fall seasons. Weekend event attendance is expected quarterly, with occasional increased frequency during busy seasons.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain excellent relationships between the Project Specialist, department administrators, site administrators, practice managers, and other users. Populate existing data fields; oversee the design of new data fields as needed. Oversee all aspects of the Physician Services Division Clinical sites database, including data updating, utilization, and reporting. Initiate relationships with other business units to maximize the effectiveness of the database. Serve as liaison between Senior Physician Services Division Management, departmental and ISD representatives, and database developers. Respond to business/reporting requests by Senior Management Staff, clinical departments, and practices. Serve as a liaison between the Physician Services Senior Management staff and key client users as required.
