**Your role at Clorox:**
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
The Project Specialist -- Operations is responsible for leading all activities involving operations excellence (OpsEx) systems – e.g., the TRACC platform and Vista implementation – utilizing continuous improvement (CI) methodologies and best practices. The Specialist ensures that improvement goals are set, objectives are achieved, results are analyzed, and deadlines are met. Acting as the SME for continuous improvement tools and systems, the Specialist spearheads employee on-the-job technical skill training in service of continuous improvement platform.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Implement, update, and sustain OpsEx systems, CI methodologies and techniques to accelerate
+ improvement in safety, quality, and manufacturing metrics.
+ Participate in all safety initiatives as assigned.
+ Understand the process flow and theory of operations in key areas.
+ Work closely with the TRACC platform ITF & project governance Teams to develop T&Q, CIL, CL within the area designated.
+ Coach members on problem solving using CI platform.
+ Provide daily support to the operations teams to ensure business goals are met.
+ Facilitate/support CI team-based improvement projects.
+ Collect, record, and analyze data to chart progress of CI activities; recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances.
+ Lead/support training on CI platform and Vista implementation.
+ Review/update systems training materials as needed.
+ Perform troubleshooting and maintenance work for all packaging line equipment as assigned.
+ Assist on any packaging line projects such as installations, improvement projects, major maintenance, and capital projects.
+ Safely changeover and operate line equipment on packaging lines.
+ Be proactive in identifying and correcting quality opportunities.
+ Define and deploy improvement best practices for process, engineering, and workflow.
+ Drive adherence to standards set for CI platform and Vista optimization across all functional areas.
+ Identify Lean advocates with an emphasis on championing the plant’s goals, objectives, and implementation plans as they relate to CI platform and Vista systems.
+ Support line managers on changes at the frontline.
+ Report progress on a both a weekly and monthly basis.
+ Model a results-based leadership style with a strong influencing skillset.
+ Lead change with the goal of an effective, efficient work environment.
+ Transfer ownership of Lean principles to department leadership
**What we look for:**
+ Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
+ Strong commitment to safety and quality
+ Knowledge of CI methodology
+ Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on training others
+ Ability to work independently and on teams.
+ Hands-on approach when working with and training operators in a manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated technical ability.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to communicate clearly and distinctly (verbal and written) with peers and supervisors.
+ Willingness to work all shifts as needed.
+ Exemplary critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex data to formulate sound conclusions.
+ Ability to manage multiple high priority items.
+ Self-directed with a desire to “Learn-Do-Teach.”
+ Ability to facilitate workshops and adapt to specific site and team requirements
Starting Base Pay: $33.14
