Project Specialist - Toxicology

LabCorp is currently seeking a Project Specialist to join our Toxicology Reagent Manufacturing team located in Burlington, NC! The ideal candidate will be one who can take initiative, has strong communication and computer skills, assists with project implementation of the Toxicology department and experience within a clinical laboratory.
**Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.**

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Performs assigned activities of project team, and works with the supervisors, managers and directors on planning, initiating and completing all assigned Change Controls
+ Analyzes existing forms and methods to promote effective operations through standardization, simplification, discontinuance or other methods; installs new systems or procedures in various departments and instructs personnel regarding them
+ Continually reviews programs and provides training to management and staff on changes and new systems
+ Generates complete, accurate and timely correspondence such that the reader understands the intended message
+ Performs administrative support duties (e.g. maintains records, generates and/or sends reports and communications, maintains databases, enters data, answers phones, files, etc.) completely, accurately and within established timeframes
+ Assists supervisor/manager in performing various assigned responsibilities (i.e. planning, compliance, troubleshooting, training, making workflow recommendations, etc.) completely, accurately and within established timeframes
+ Coordinates work/information between designated parties and ensures optimal performance such that objectives and goals are achieved completely and accurately
+ Coordinate with manufacturing and operations staff to ensure stability studies are completed timely. Coordinate with R&D team to determine validation requirements
+ Analyze Mass Spectrometry Data and compile stability study related documents for final reports
+ Create, review and update SOP’s as necessary
+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to the departmental SOP’s
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
+ Minimum 3 years of applicable experience, to include clinical laboratory testing
+ Experience with Mass Spectrometry Data Review is highly preferred
+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment
+ Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
+ High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
+ Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
+ Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
