Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be part of the project management team supporting various commercial and Federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to oversee multi-trade projects, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient job site, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Construction Superintendent **Location:** Fairfax, Virginia **What's the Job?** + Oversee renovations and retrofits to building electrical and HVAC control systems on projects up to $15 million in construction, including project planning through implementation. + Supervise and coordinate onsite personnel and subcontractors to ensure schedule compliance. + Effectively manage projects to minimize changes, delays, and interference with end users. + Interface with project inspectors, architects, engineers, clients, and local officials. + Maintain standards and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes while ensuring a clean and safe job site. **What's Needed?** + At least 5 years of experience in the construction field, preferably in occupied facilities. + Experience with complex mechanical, electrical, and control projects. + Proficiency in developing and updating construction schedules (Microsoft Project or P6 experience preferred). + OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification preferred. + Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an extensive background check.
