Project Superintendent
**Description** **Duties/Responsibilities:** + Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors to ensure the safe execution of all activities, including the strict adherence to HPA safety policies and programs through the communication and enforcement of HPA Safety and Health Program, including the ability to independently stop work for a safety violation or suspected safety violation + Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force + Inspection of Contractor or Subcontract operations to ensure compliance with Contract + Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager + Maintain good relationship with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer + Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager + Conduct quality inspections + Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts + Monitor costs, including labor time and material + Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others + Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of Schedule dates + Prepare and submit Superintendent Daily Reports + Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meeting **Qualifications:** + Broad understanding of industry + Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders + Good math/accounting skills + Over 15 years working in the Pump Station Construction or Heavy Civil Construction industry + Dependability + Excellent time management and organizational skills + Strong decision making/problem solving skills + Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Strong management skills + Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients + Exhibits strong leadership qualities + Functions effectively as part of a team + Estimating skills a plus + Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, plumbing, electrical and mechanical and all other pump station construction scopes + Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented + Delegates work appropriately + Junior College or Vocational education desired + OSHA certification + First Aid/CPR certification + Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products + E-Builder, eCMS and/or RMS experience is preferred + Procore experience is preferred + Prolog experience is preferred + Bluebeam experience is preferred + Autodesk Revit experience is preferred **Notice to prospective employees:** **There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
