Job Description
As a Project Superintendent, you will oversee pre-construction meetings, coordinate temporary facilities, and develop safety plans. Your role involves managing subcontractor contracts, ensuring adherence to QA/QC programs, and supervising jobsite efforts. You will also conduct weekly safety meetings, record time and units, and maintain regular communication with the Project Manager. Daily scheduling, manpower management, city inspections, and document management are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will administer punch lists and ensure all items are reviewed and completed in Procore.
ResponsibilitiesOversee pre-construction meetings and coordinate temporary facilities.Develop and implement safety plans.Manage subcontractor contracts and ensure adherence to QA/QC programs.Supervise jobsite efforts and conduct weekly safety meetings.Record time and units, and maintain regular communication with the Project Manager.Handle daily scheduling and manpower management.Coordinate city inspections and manage project documents.Administer punch lists and ensure completion in Procore.Essential SkillsProject scheduling and supervision.Experience in commercial construction and construction management.Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA regulations (minimum OSHA 30 safety certification).Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.Ability to supervise large groups and ensure compliance with contracts.Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsFour-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.Minimum of eight years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.Broad range of people skills, including strong leadership, management, and accountability.Understanding of design and construction documents and contracts.Knowledge of LEAN, BIM, and sustainability practices and systems.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, project management systems, and scheduling software.Work Environment
This role involves working in the field on projects located in Disney World, which could include hotels, restaurants, convention centers, and tenant improvement projects.
