Project Superintendent
**Summary** The **Project Superintendent** is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Task Order (TO) at the Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna. The individual will oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and remedial maintenance (RM) activities, ensuring all work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards. The Project Superintendent must be present on-site during normal working hours when PM or RM activities are in progress and be available by phone or on-site during off-hour RM activities as needed. **_This position is contingent upon contract award_** **Responsibilities** + Supervise the day-to-day execution of TO activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, schedules, and contract requirements. + Coordinate and direct contractor personnel and subcontractors to meet project objectives efficiently. + Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with TO requirements and ensure work is conducted according to applicable standards, including NFPA, UFC, and local building codes. + Oversee and document PM and RM activities, ensuring timely completion and proper filing of all associated documentation. + Collaborate with the Project Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer to address safety and operational concerns. + Liaise with the COR to address and resolve on-site challenges and ensure smooth project execution. + Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment required for the project are available and properly maintained. + Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans for identified deficiencies. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Three (3) years of experience as a superintendent on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity, including experience in leading construction and contractor personnel. + Experience in repairs and renovations executed in occupied facilities, warehouse environments, and high-occupancy administrative buildings. + Prior Federal Government project experience. Additional Consideration + While not mandatory, candidates who meet the will receive additional consideration. + Five (5) years of experience in program management and ten (10) years of leadership experience in the public and/or private sector in engineering, IT, or consulting fields. + Experience managing FPCS and IT projects, including task management and milestone tracking. + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP). + Three (3) years of experience as an SSHO on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity, including Federal Government project experience. + Completed 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Class and “Construction Quality Management for Contractors.” + Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 and demonstrated ability to perform hazard identification and safety compliance. _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Strong knowledge of safety protocols, building codes, and fire protection system standards, including NFPA and UFC requirements. + Effective leadership and organizational skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members, subcontractors, and Government personnel. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in maintaining project documentation and records in an organized and retrievable manner.
