Project Supervisor
Job Title: Construction Project SupervisorJob Description We have an immediate need for a long-term Construction Project Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee a significant STEP (septic tank elimination program) project in NW Indiana, running through December 2026. This project involves replacing septic systems with new sanitary sewer lines across 3,500 acres, serving approximately 9,300 people. Responsibilities + Oversee and inspect the work of construction contractors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal design standards and construction specifications. + Manage the entire construction process from pre-construction meetings to project closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. + Maintain daily and weekly logs of job activities. + Establish and maintain professional working relationships with engineers, materials testing labs, construction general contractors, and subcontractors. + Communicate and coordinate daily with construction contractors’ staff. + Complete daily reports and perform field measurements. + Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Essential Skills + 5+ years of construction project supervisor/RPR experience on INDOT projects or sanitary sewer/lift station projects. + INDOT Certified Technician with all 6 INDOT certifications. + Professional experience overseeing the entire construction process, including pre-construction, project closeout, and ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience as a Site Manager is beneficial but not mandatory. + Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather. Work Environment The Construction Project Supervisor will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, either from their truck or a field office trailer. This is a hands-off inspection position, focusing on visual inspections. All projects are within driving distance of our offices, and the role offers competitive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision).
