We are seeking a dedicated and recently qualified Projects Accountant to join our dynamic team based in Scotland. In this role, you will support the Projects Finance Manager and work closely with the Project Management teams to provide financial analysis, performance reviews, and ensure compliance. You will focus on cash flow and profit improvements, deliver accurate forecasts and budgets, and have a crucial role in the ambitious growth of our Transmission & Distribution business through regular site visits. We have works issued under various frameworks across Scotland. This hybrid role can be based out of Wood’s Glasgow or Aberdeen offices.

The Role

As Projects Accountant, you'll directly support the Projects Finance Manager by providing financial analysis and insights for Transmission & Distribution projects, while collaborating with Project Management teams to optimize performance, compliance, and cash flow, all while engaging with stakeholders through site visits to enhance your commercial and operational understanding.

As the Projects Accountant, you'll work closely with the Project Management teams. The role involves providing financial analysis, performance reviews, ensuring compliance, focusing on cash flow and profit improvements, and giving accurate forecasts and budgets for clear financial planning. You'll also have many opportunities to improve your commercial skills and understand your stakeholders better by visiting sites. This role is crucial in ensuring controlled performance during the ambitious growth of the Transmission & Distribution business.

We welcome applications from recently qualified CIMA/ ACCA/ CPA or equivalent Projects Accountants with demonstrated experience of forecasting & assurance, cash management & collection, project costings, and month-end reporting with a desire to develop their stakeholder management abilities. We are open to individuals from various industrial sectors, but preference may be given to those with established experience in the construction or electricity supply industries.
