Summary Serves as a Promotions Assistant at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ facility. The primary purpose of this position is responsible for constructing promotional packages for industry, commissary staff, and customers. Responsibilities Performs cataloging and file maintenance work for headquarters automated systems files and regional files for promotional one-time buy items as well as seasonal items. Assists the promotions coordinator by performing liaison duties with industry Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) points of contact as well as manufacturer representatives for promotional pricing and file maintenance issues. Works independently to resolve pricing and file maintenance issues. Responsible for reviewing and accepting holiday agreements, automated systems monitoring markdowns for manager's specials and any promo markdowns and monitoring. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 0303 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-06. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Using various automated promotion systems. Identifying and analyzing problems and recommending/implementing corrective measures regarding promotional packages. Compiling a variety of reports, memorandums, and checklists to develop and publish executable promotional packages. Assisting in the development of promotional packages and applying commissary operations, operating policies, procedures, and practice. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
