Job Description

KTDO is currently seeking a promotions producer who will create, plan, and execute local marketing, branding, promotional and sales initiatives. This person will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics and video recording material.  

Producer Responsibilities:

Write, shoot, and edit high quality local television commercials, promos and campaigns.Includes pre-production and planning meeting with account sales executives and clients, script writing, professional voice over.Operating of all portable video (field cameras) and audio equipment.Transports and sets up all required lighting and audio equipment including lavaliers, wireless receivers,  handheld and shotgun microphones.In post-production selects footage, rough cuts, audio adjustment, edits, add graphics, voice over, music and include sound effects to create the final product.Responsible for the quality of each promo and commercial produced.Experience with commercial and promotion productions.Knowledge of copyrights.Quality control can involve several duties, such as verifying accurate information and placing legal disclaimers into advertisement spots if required.Responsible for producing assigned special projects and sales driven segments.Coordinate script and storyline with correct video sources and graphics.Ensure accuracy and correct spelling in graphics and banners.Write scripts and edit videos under tight deadlines.Ability to post-produce the segments and digital content aloneWrite and edit tune-in promos, headlines, and promotional teasers.  Prepare music cue sheets on a weekly basis.Ability to participate and support event activations.Coordinate recordings with news talent on location if needed

Qualifications3+ years as a producer preferred.Associate’s degree or related experienceAbility to multitask and work in a highly creative fast paced, dead-line driven environment.Proven solid Spanish writing skills and editorial judgment.Demonstrated self-starter.Proven excellent interpersonal skills.Color correction, editing, music selection and special effects knowledge.Excellent organizational skillsVideo editing proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop)Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, travel, and work overtime with short notice.Able to work a flexible schedules and shifts, including nights and weekends.Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesMust be 18 years or older.Must have a valid DL and clear driving record.English/Spanish required, both written and verbalWilling to work in El Paso, TXBackground in Journalism, Promotions, Videography.Strong writing and editing skills.Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition)Ability to work with people and build relationships with other departments.Exposure to non-linear editing/shootingMay have had film or web video projects.Experience with commercial production or copy writing.
