Propel Specialist

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Propel team in Phoenix, AZ.

In this position, you will be responsible for loading and unloading specimens onto our Propel instrument, processing patient samples, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. The position requires extended time on feet and repetitive heavy lifting while maintaining a steady pace.

Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, with monthly Sunday morning rotation, and between 1-4/hrs of daily overtime required.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years of medical/clinical laboratory experience is preferredComfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Able to pass a standardized colorblind test

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingRoutes specimens by type to various staging areas or designated departmentSpin samples, pour urine tubes, and create frozen samplesPick up and deliver samples to clients/hospitalsUnpack and route specimen to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimen to proper testing facilitiesProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesProcess all necessary paperwork to process and submit specimenData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerPerform audits in order to resolve any outstanding issues
