Position Summary:
The Property Accountant will be responsible for completing accounting functions related to monthly financial close as well as other general ledger functions.
Essential Functions:
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for assigned general ledger accountsCross-train for coverage of other accounting functionsParticipate in the monthly, quarterly and annual close processPerform weekly and monthly expense review processAct as a contact person for markets and other internal departments.Assist with external financial auditAccumulate and maintain accurate reports and reconciliationsWork closely with Accounting Manager to resolve discrepancies and variancesAssist Accounting Manager in special projects as needed
Qualifications:
1-3 or more years of experience in an accounting roleReal Estate/Property Management experience a strong plusBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredAdvanced proficiency in MS ExcelExperience working in Yardi a plusExcellent organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills and strong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignment while consistently meeting deadlinesHonest, ethical and handles things in confidential mannerWhat you can expect from us:
