Description We are in search of a Property Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The individual will be part of our accounting department and will perform full cycle accounting for multiple entities. This role is central to our operations, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and assisting in the preparation of our financial statements. The position will be hybrid. Responsibilities • Ensure the accuracy of our general ledger and subledgers through collaboration with the property management team. • Manage our accounting calendar to meet all internal and external reporting deadlines. • Record cash receipts to tenant ledgers on a daily basis. • Oversee the review and approval process for accounts payable vendor invoices, coordinating the payment of crucial invoices such as real estate taxes. • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in compliance with GAAP, which includes preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and operating expense reconciliations. • Assist in the preparation of the annual property budget. • Perform additional duties as needed. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Property Accountant or in a related full cycle accounting role • Proficiency in MRI Software is a plus for efficient management of property accounting tasks • Strong knowledge of Excel Formulas is necessary to handle complex calculations and data analysis • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is essential to manage, analyze, and report financial data • Demonstrated experience in Full Cycle Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting • Familiarity with Commercial Real Estate is required to understand industry-specific financial processes and regulations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
