Description We are seeking a Property Accountant to join our team in Tukwila, Washington. In this role, you will manage tenant data, prepare financial reports, and ensure the accuracy of journal entries. Responsibilities: • Oversee and ensure the integrity of tenant data within the property management accounting system • Generate timely and accurate financial reports, including account reconciliations, projections/forecasts, and annual budgets • Collaborate with other Property Accountants to validate the accuracy of journal entries and the general ledger • Prepare relevant accruals in a timely manner, prior to the due date of the Owner Report • Assist in the preparation of periodic reforecasts as required by clients • Review and manage cash transactions and bank reconciliations • Oversee the accounts receivable process, including A/R analysis and collections, A/R aging review, and vendor inquiries • Collaborate with the Property Team to review month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations • Assist the Property Team in the preparation of annual CAM reconciliations and estimates • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems such as Yardi, MRI, Skyline would be beneficial. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 - negotiable. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required. • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Ability to perform all Accounting Functions proficiently. • Skilled in managing Accounts Payable (AP). • Competence in handling Accounts Receivable (AR). • Demonstrable experience with Accrual Accounting. • Knowledge of Auditing procedures is required. • Proficiency in using Yardi is a must. • Experience with Yardi Property Management is necessary. • Familiarity with Yardi Software is essential.
