Property Accountant
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Loveland, Colorado, for a Property Accountant in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. As a Property Accountant, your main role will be to manage and oversee the financial aspects of our properties, including the processing of accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and the use of AppFolio software. Responsibilities • Oversee the efficient processing of accounts payable (AP) • Manage accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely collection • Regularly perform account reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy • Conduct balance sheet account reconciliation as part of monthly financial procedures • Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate • Utilize AppFolio accounting software for property management • Oversee the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded • Carry out regular account coding for financial clarity and organization. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Property Accountant or in a similar role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. • Proficient in using AppFolio property management software for various accounting and financial tasks. • Solid understanding and practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing. • Demonstrated ability in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including billing, collections, and revenue recognition. • Proficiency in managing the General Ledger, including recording journal entries, tracking income and expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records. • Strong skills in Account Reconciliation, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly. • Proficient in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy of financial data, and identifying and correcting discrepancies. • Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between bank statements and company's financial records.
