The Position:The Accounting Manager oversees the management and oversight of the property accounting team, month end close, financial statement reviews, and audits. This position will also assist with streamlining and centralizing accounting processes, improve financial reporting, and perform advanced accounting tasks.

 

Responsibilities Supervise a team of Property/Senior AccountantsEnsure financial integrity of properties assigned to team by reviewing monthly financial reportsEffectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service and escalate as appropriatePerform audit liaison responsibilities for internal and external financial auditsAssist in new property onboarding and dispositions as assignedEnsure critical dates are met (taxes, insurance, debt payments, etc.)Effectively communicate team updates to Controller weeklyParticipate in the execution of strategic initiates such as Information Technology, Policies and Procedures, etc Use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatment Ensure cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to adequately predict the need for funding Participate in interviewing/hiring team, performance reviews, goal setting and employee developmental planningPerform other duties and tasks as assigned Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience4+ Years of Property Management Experience Preferred or equivalent1+ Years of Hands On Managerial ExperiencePreferred Industry Specific Software: Yardi, RealPage/Onesite, Entrada, and/or MRIProficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computerMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.  Company Information
