Position Overview: Provide support to DISA/JSP with integrated logistics support and property management services
Position Responsibilities:
Develop SOPs, implement and comply with an effective property management internal control program in accordance with DoDI 5000.64 to increase property accountability to maturity levels 4 and 5 – Predictive and Continuous Process Improvement in accordance with DoD Equipment Management Capability Maturity Model (EMCMM). Develop and maintain a SharePoint metrics dashboard as an information management tool to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other reporting data in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) as well as the application for Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) (BMC Remedy). Perform independent verification of the Asset Compliance Program for DPAS custodial accounts to ensure alignment with higher echelon Asset Compliance Programs. Review, update and execute quarterly audit checklists and provide a report of all findings and a plan to resolve/mitigate deficiencies. Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies. Construct logistic/supply history by conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Performing routine aspects of logistics and supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Provide inventory reports and research and resolve discrepancies. Track all IT asset transactions in the software application for ITSM and DPAS throughout the assets’ life cycle. Maintain warehouse stock level inventory to ensure available stocks to avoid work stoppage due to lack of materials. Provide report of stocks that are approaching re-order threshold (bench stock levels) to have the bench stock replenished. The report shall consider lead time for procurement and rate of consumption
Position Requirements:
Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferably with a major in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, is required. Three year of experience using DPAS can be substituted for Associate’s Degree. Experience: Minimum three years of experience using the DPAS or Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) at the Property Custodian level or equivalent. Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computers and Integrated Logistics Systems. Thorough knowledge of governing logistics and supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of logistics and supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Certification(s): DPAS certified or complete DPAS training within ten business days of assignment/onboarding.
