Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Property Administrator in Yonkers, New York. The role primarily involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Property Management and Asset Management Departments. The Property Administrator will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties, including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage monthly rent bills, recertification packages, late rent notices, and other correspondence.
• Maintain up-to-date rent ledgers for attorneys and residents.
• Address resident requests such as copies of leases, ledgers, rent payments, and shelter verifications.
• Regularly update the Vacancy, Recertification, and other reports.
• Manage the waiting list for potential residents, send out applications, and help fill vacancies.
• Address tenant complaints and assist in resolving the issues.
• Provide support for tenant recertifications and leasing.
• Assist in creating work orders and answering calls as a backup.
• Support special projects as needed. Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of Lease Contracts, Lease Agreements, and Lease Administration.
• Proven experience in a Property Administrator role or similar is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Knowledge of property management regulations and standards.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants and property owners.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
• Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain complex lease agreements.
• Must possess excellent negotiation skills for lease agreements and contracts.
