American Modern Insurance Group is seeking a talented and customer-focused Field Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will handle property damage claims in the Charlotte, North Carolina territory, and work with customers to resolve their claims. We're seeking an individual with excellent decision making skills, ability to work under pressure, solid organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, as well as time management skills to balance various tasks in a standard work day.
In this role, you will:
Handle property field claims from First Notice of Loss to conclusion, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis, estimation development and subrogation/salvage assessment.Provide guidance and support to policyholders throughout the claims process, with prompt communication and excellent attention to detail.Conduct field-based inspections to determine the extent of the loss and prepare detailed estimates and documentation to support insurance claims.Establish relationships with producing agencies.Participation in catastrophe duty as needed. CAT duty can be throughout the United States and can last up to 4 weeks.
Qualifications:
Previous property claims experience Ability to scope, diagram and estimate property damagesMobile home and Dwelling construction knowledge preferredBachelor's degree or equivalent work/industry experienceA clean driving record and a valid driver's license are requiredAbility to perform physical inspections; i.e. climb roofs, craw spacesProficiency in Symbility, Xactimate or similar estimating platform experience Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skillsIndustry training, coursework, certifications are preferred. (AIC, CPSU, SCLA)Requires the ability to lift, carry, set-up, ascend and descend ladders in excess of 40 pounds.
