Property Maintenance Superintendent Arcadia, FL (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=8780+NW+Bethel+Farms+Rd+Arcadia+FL+USA+34266-5132) Description The Property Maintenance Superintendent plays an integral role in overseeing the maintenance and operations of Bethel Farms’ facilities, including H2A housing. He or she will manage and oversee maintenance and construction projects of Bethel Farms properties. General Maintenance Responsibilities: • Oversee maintenance of all building systems in a manner that ensures a high-quality building environment. • Spearhead and oversee repairs and construction of Bethel Farms properties, contracting necessary supplies, equipment, and services. • Inspects buildings under construction for compliance with safety guidelines and building codes requirements. • Work closely with vendors to ensure maintenance and construction projects are being completed according to plans. • Negotiate pricing and contracts for scopes of work for Bethel properties. • Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedules. • Ensure repairs are done timely, upholding deadlines, and with accuracy. • Prioritize, track, and provide updates and timeline for maintenance requests. • Outsource maintenance requests when necessary and continue to follow up with both parties to ensure the job is done timely. • Work closely with the Shop to make them aware of any necessary repairs on sawmill equipment. • Other Duties & Responsibilities as assigned. o Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field or relevant experience preferred. • Superior relationship building skills - Ability to build relationships effectively with others. • Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. • Able to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent planning and organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Physical Demands of the position: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Noise levels may vary, from office equipment to production line and warehouse levels. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel This position may require up to 25% travel.
