Title Property & Materials Mgmt Specialist Position Number 39804 Company WA River Protection Solutions City/State Richland, WA Location RCHN Posted 01/28/2025 Closes 02/11/2025 Regular/Temporary Regular Full/Part-Time Full-Time Job Responsibilities/Duties Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a Property & Materials Management Specialist who will support management on various programs and processes. Responsible for administration of the WRPS Equipment Management Program and will provide direction to co-workers and management in the use of the Equipment Management Program. In addition to the responsibilities below, the position will develop summaries, conduct document reviews and prepare correspondence, lessons learned, reports and management presentations as directed. The position will investigate, analyze, and determine the solutions to problems and/or adverse trends in their areas. The position will conduct independent interviews and assessments, and revise procedures as necessary. The position will also provide support for other management directed activities. Critical Interfaces: Daily interface with all WRPS and Other Hanford Contractors project team members including staff members, program coordinators, operations and construction personnel, vendors, etc. regarding equipment management, allocation and utilization of equipment, and Condition Reports (CR) and event investigations, as needed. Responsibilities: * Responsible for administering the WRPS Equipment Management Program and will provide direction and guidance to co-workers and management in the use of the Equipment Management Program. * Allocate owned/rental equipment (e.g. generators, light towers, etc.) with WRPS Operations and Project personnel based on WRPS Field Schedule/priority; * Manage equipment Global Positioning System installation/removal and maintain/update equipment tracking database; * Prioritize and schedule completion of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on equipment with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) and/or Equipment Rental Vendor(s); * Review and reconcile equipment invoices/charges with Control Account Manager; * Perform Assessments/Utilization reviews as Assessment Team Member for owned/rental equipment and ensure accuracy of rental/owned equipment inventory; * Receive and return of rental equipment, and perform updates to equipment database; * Compose corrective action plans, internal memos and external correspondence; * Conduct assessments, interviews and revise procedures as necessary; * Comply with WRPS policies and procedures; * Ensure Integrated Environment Safety and Health Management System Principles are incorporated into organization's activities; * Perform activities/duties on time and monitor activities to ensure procedure compliance; * Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner; * Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain records in accordance with applicable Records Inventory and Disposition Schedules (RIDS); * Support facility Employee Accident Prevention Council (EAPC) and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) activities/committees; and * Perform other duties as assigned. Please Note: This position is being advertised under the current Tank Operations Contractor, Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS). However, now that transition activities have begun a candidate selected for employment may be hired under the incoming contractor, Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) contract. Required Qualifications Grade 15: * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Business Administration, Property Management or related field; and * Three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Grade 16: * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Business Administration, Property Management or related field; and * Five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Desired Qualifications * National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification. * Fleet/equipment management experience. * Knowledgeable in federal property requirements. * Ability to solve management problems and resolve immediate and long-term issues. * Ability to analyze a situation, determine the best course of action, assemble the required resources, give direction and follow through according to applicable policies and procedures. Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
