Property Tax Analyst (hybrid)
Work Flexibility: Hybrid

In this role, you will support Stryker’s indirect tax compliance efforts related to property tax, business licenses, and other miscellaneous tax filings.  You will liaise with third party providers and be responsible for data pulling, data review and data analysis from multiple ERP systems. This individual will also be responsible for the first level review of work product prepared by third party providers, researching tax regulations, responding to notices, and requests for information from tax authorities. Collaboration with team members and business unit personnel will also be required to accurately provide data and business information. This role will also assist the Senior Manager in gathering data for audits conducted by taxing authorities.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days a week in our Portage, MI office.

What you will do

Pull and review data from multiple ERP systems and other data sources

Analyze and research variances between data and prior year filings. Maintain filing calendars

Collaborate with finance teams and business unit personnel to confirm data accuracy and ensure Stryker has the proper business licenses for the activity occurring in each jurisdiction

Collaborate with third party providers to ensure filings are prepared and paid timely

Responsible for first level review of returns prepared by third party providers

Assist in intercompany billing and budgeting efforts

Assist with integrating acquisitions into current processes

Resolve notices received from jurisdictions

Assist with audits and special projects as requested

Continually develop process improvements in tax preparation and documentation  

What you need

Required:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

0+ years experience

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, use of Power BI and SharePoint a plus

ERP system knowledge of Oracle, JDE, and SAP a plus

Preferred:

1+ years of experience in a similar role

Experience in Microsoft office tools, use of Power BI and SharePoint

Experience in Oracle, JDE, and SAP

Travel Percentage: 10%
