Our Purpose: We pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters About the role: The Property Tax Analyst II will prepare property tax renditions, review tax value notices, submit property tax bills for payment, create and review A/P file, create and review lease customer billing file. This position will perform research on lease account related to property taxation. This position will need to perform well within time constraints and deadlines that are not flexible. This position may file Unclaimed Property Tax Reports. This position will work on other related projects as assigned by their supervisor or property tax senior analyst. This position will assist tax senior analyst in training of property tax analysts. Responsibilities In this role you will: Work within PTMS to map property classes to rendition reports Generate rendition reports within PTMS or manually if required Review rendition reports before submission to supervisor Review tax value notices for accuracy Receive tax bills and enter tax bill data into PTMS manually or through OCR technology Process tax bills for scanning into PTMS Verification in PTMS of tax bill information scanned and read Research escalated lease customer disputes of property tax billings Ensure property tax is billed to lease customer timely and accurately Assist with other projects as assigned by property tax supervisor or property tax senior analyst Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Computer technology Knowledge of Leasing portfolios systems (Leasemaster or Infolease) Knowledge of PTMS or similar property tax software Knowledge of US federal and state taxation Leasing and automotive finance industry Oracle Proficient with computer technology Proficient with Oracle Proficient with Tracker – Unclaimed Property Tax Software Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Ability to document and identify tax issues in complex transactions and processes Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Able to work under pressure Analytical and mathematical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Good research skills and experience with research software Must stay abreast of technical tax issues while seeking ways to enhance the tax process Ability to learn and use new technology Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred Bachelor’s Degree required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
