This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.
This position will pay $54,900- $61,000
SUMMARY: The Proposal Development Specialist works with other department staff to assist in the production and development of proposals in response to government solicitations, including Requests for Proposals (RFP)/ Requests for Qualifications (RFQ)/ Requests for Information (RFI), and unsolicited proposals for CoreCivic's three main business lines or other projects as assigned. Interacts with other departments to obtain and/or develop information pertaining to the same.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Reads, analyzes, comprehends, and interprets solicitations, related governmental regulations, legal, and non-legal documents. Uses independent discretion in conducting research to provide analyses of data pertaining to CoreCivic research, contract negotiation, and proposal development activities, and the use, development, and maintenance of research or proposal-oriented computer applications and databases. Provides departmental support for Proposal Development to include maintaining a common calendar of events, creating and populating internal websites for projects; assisting with project-related tasks that would support production of a response; and updating the department's yearly project tracker. Identifies potential business opportunities and distributes them to internal subject matter experts; updates and maintains the department's registrations and subscriptions for various procurement platforms; and populates watchlist items used for internal projects. Updates key information in departmental data files on a regular basis. Assists department members with various projects as needed. Demonstrates communication skills, both written and verbal, in development of proposal text and department participation. Ensures that all written information is provided accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner. Corresponds formally with internal and external sources. Thoroughly maintains solicitation and proposal archive information (hard copies and electronic versions). Creates and/or maintains general files in an organized manner, to include sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving, in accordance with corporate file retention and storage procedures. Prevents unauthorized access to records and maintains confidentiality and security of records. Assists in the assembly of multiple materials and final compilation process for proposal submission to government agencies including preparing shipping labels, binder tabs and labels and cover sheets as needed, and copying and collating proposal documents in numerous quantities. Maintains inventory supply of proposal materials. Meets internal deadlines for obtaining and processing information for solicitations. Domestic U. S. travel may be required.QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. Two years of experience in a research or support role is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
