**Job Summary:**
If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! The Proposal Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing the technical and commercial aspects of Lifecycle proposals. This position is accountable for the technical and commercial offering including system configuration, costing, internal reviews, contractual terms' citation, and writing and assembling the technical and commercial portion of the proposal.
**In this role, your responsibilities will be:**
+ Planning and preparing proposals based on quote specifications and customer requirements.
+ Working closely with Sales and Offer Leads to understand and incorporate the customer requirements.
+ Developing the best project cost solutions that minimize technical risk meet customer needs and ensure the best positioning for success.
+ Providing technical support to stakeholders in interpreting Request for Proposals and proposals terminology.
+ Collaborating with Regional Engineering, Technical Advisors, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other Emerson Departments to incorporate all proposals-related information into the proposal’s submission documentation.
+ Completing the required technical and commercial paperwork for the customer as necessary.
+ Supporting requests from Sales and customers related to inquiries about the offer.
+ Ensuring the timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition of proposal information.
+ Implementing best practices and processes in proposal efforts.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Chemical Engineering
+ 2-3 years of DCS/Power Plant Instrumentation or proposal generation experience.
+ Knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite.
+ Strong working command of the English language and excellent communication skills within technical and business settings.
+ Ability to work on night shift schedule.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Prior proposal generation experiences and knowledge of Emerson products are preferred.
