The Proposal Manager is responsible for coordinating the Sumaria Systems proposal process and is responsible for providing oversight of the proposal process and establishing an ongoing quality improvement methodology for the proposal process. The Proposal Manager works with senior executives, operations managers, and peers in other organizations supporting the proposal process. Primary responsibilities and duties: + Provide proposal process support and guidance to the proposal team(s). + Provide proposal management and development support for national, multi-regional, and local Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Requests for Information (RFI). + Work with appropriate business development and operations directors to coordinate the demand for proposal resources. + Work closely with Capture Managers, teaming partners, and proposal team(s) to develop and implement winning competitive proposal strategies. + Monitor and report on staff execution and discipline in following the corporate proposal process to ensure proposal process productivity and improvement. + Support the development of standard proposal templates and process guidelines; and manage/direct proposal teams to produce compliant, winning proposals. + Prepare daily logistics for meetings and reviews. This can include maintaining proposal team distribution lists, sending meeting invites, setting up and running web conferencing, keeping meeting minutes/action registries, and preparing recovery drafts and participation of subcontractors. + Create or assist in developing outlines, compliance matrices, proposal templates, storyboards (assisting capture team with storyboard completion.) + Serve as the point of contact for subcontractors; facilitate and assemble data calls from subcontractors. + Other related duties may be assigned. Required Skills and Experience: + Excellent Microsoft Office skills - especially for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project; SharePoint, and Adobe. + Must be able to support proposal development from capture phase through submittal and have knowledge of how to analyze a Request for Proposal (RFP) and develop proposal outlines. + Experience with Government contracts or solicitations. + Requires excellent skills in researching and retrieving data from commercial and internal database systems. + Should also be well organized, detail oriented and able to perform well under the stress of competing requirements. + Outstanding spoken and written communications skills are critical. + Must be flexible for occasional non-standard work schedule. + Demonstrated experience leading meetings and color reviews. + Demonstrated ability to prepare and produce final electronic and paper copy submissions. + Proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling proposal narrative and presentation slides. + Ability to multi-task in a team environment, with organizational skills; and ability to work independently. Education: Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or similar field, is preferred. Years of Experience: 4+ years Travel: Minimal Security Clearance Required: Secret, or ability to obtain Position Type: Full Time Work Location: Remote The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $90,0 00 to $125,000 annualized. Your base pay will be dependent upon your specific skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location.
