Overview TRC is looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to support diverse environmental programs including assessment, remediation, EHS and air consulting and testing, permitting, and industrial hygiene. This person will serve as a team lead, managing 2-3 proposal coordinators. This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers full benefits. Under the direction of the Proposal Director, the Proposal Manager will manage the proposal development process from pre-solicitation capture planning through submittal and closeout. This person will work closely with various technical teams to prepare responsive, compelling proposals and interview presentations and support capture planning and strategic initiatives that drive growth across the Environmental business. You may work with company management, business development teams, engineering teams, and program development teams to understand new innovations and help in the implementation of marketing initiatives. This position will serve as team lead for Environmental proposal staff. You will manage internal proposal support requests from various technical groups and make assignments and manage workloads for 2-3 proposal coordinators. You will also manage development of your own proposals, as well as oversee the products developed by the team. This individual may work from varied locations throughout the US. Responsibilities Manage a team of 2-3 proposal coordinators, tracking workloads and assigning new projects as requests are received Review RFQs/RFPs and develop detailed proposal outlines and production schedules in accordance with client requirements Work with technical staff to identify win themes and differentiators Research and write firm qualifications content, project descriptions, staff biographies, and resumes tailored to each pursuit Review and edit technical proposal content, project descriptions, staff biographies, and resumes tailored to each pursuit Review and edit technical proposal content for consistency, flow, inclusion of win themes and differentiators, and conformance with RFP selection criteria Collaborate with peer proposal staff and the Strategic Proposal Group (SPG) Coordinate with graphic designers to develop visual elements that enhance submittals Manage proposal review cycles, including color reviews and compliance checks Manage/oversee and/or perform proposal print production and submittal Assist with the development of interview presentations Maintain marketing information databases, including resumes, project descriptions, client contact information, and content libraries Support the implementation and management of a company-wide proposal content management system and maintain filing system for master resumes, master project descriptions, and marketing collateral Participate in weekly marketing calls and other marketing meetings Assist with other duties as needed to support the marketing department Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field 8-10 years of industry-specific (environmental) marketing and proposal development experience; Understanding of the Infrastructure market preferred, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Ability to manage concurrent proposal and marketing activities Must be detail-oriented and possess strong initiative Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Must possess strong organization skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments. Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
