Proposal Specialist - Hybrid

Proposal Management Support global sales teams with proposal processes (review, response preparation, approval monitoring and final submissions). Review and analyze proposal documents for understanding of bid response, requirements, and terms and conditions. Lead proposal meetings and kick-off calls to establish strategy, timelines and deliverables plan. Lead the entire proposal process, making sure every member of the proposal team is aware of their responsibilities. Craft core proposal content by using proposal content database (Qvidian). Build proposal drafts according to customer requirements in each request and in alignment with company established style guidelines and messaging. Present complete, professionally produced proposal (within customer defined timeline) to sales team for delivery to customer. Respond to ad-hoc inquiries from internal teams to assist with providing timely and accurate information to current or prospective clients. Contribute to ongoing effort of crafting proposal standard methodology processes. Provide informal training and ongoing support of proposal content database (Qvidian) to DISW users requesting access. Contribute proactively to team workload. Complete other job duties and responsibilities to be assigned from time to time. Content Management Help establish a process for technical and corporate SMEs to contribute, review and update content. Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop & maintain relevant, accurate information to be used in the creation of proposal responses. Contribute to content collection by extracting segments of submitted proposal material that can be used in future proposals. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure content is aligned with company goals and positions Siemens competitively. Regularly review content on an annual basis to ensure relevance and accuracy. Manage and organize completed RFP responses in SharePoint library. Assist with sophisticated searches, uploads, reports, or other requests as needed. Stay current on industry standard methodologies around proposal content management, including how AI is likely to change proposal writing, so we can adapt accordingly. Qualifications/Vital Skills: Experience working with Sales teams and proposal development Ability to interact professionally and establish relationships across all levels of the organization Ability to navigate several layers of reviews, adhering to tight deadlines and staying engaged throughout the process Possess sense of urgency, project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage concurrent projects and tasks while meeting competing deadlines Be a self-starter possessing a high degree of initiative, diligent to details, demonstrating the ability to work independently Be a proactive teammate; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff Use tact and good judgment as well as be trusted with confidential company information Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience working with Upland Qvidian Proposal Automation software a plus Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other MS Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong grammar and proofreading skills Ability to quickly assimilate new information regarding specific product and technical topics Ability to communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information necessary to answer customer questions Familiarity with Siemens products and industries Familiarity with eRFP sourcing tools to assist with delivery of a proposalPreferred locations for hybrid role:  Detroit, MI; St. Louis, MO; Charlotte, NC; or Dallas, TX.

The hourly range for this position is $38.99 to $70.19 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
